Knight & Garter, lovingly referred to as “Leicester’s carefully considered pub”, is a stunningly designed and thoughtfully curated bar, Dining Room, and social venue situated on Green Dragon Square, just off Hotel Street.
Here at Knight & Garter, our mission is to overthrow memories of mundane experiences by delivering best-in-class hospitality in our own relaxed, spirited, and convivial way.
Bar
Our bar area is widely renowned for its stunning, jaw-dropping design, as well as a carefully considered selection of boutique drinks and perfectly crafted nibbles. On Friday & Saturday evenings, we proudly play host to incredible local musicians and talented DJs, who create the perfect soundtrack for an enjoyable weekend atmosphere. Meanwhile, Sunday lunchtimes are dedicated to the leisurely enjoyment of our complimentary newspapers and our epic Bloody Marys, which are sure to enhance your day.
With a variety of draught beers served from our copper beer kettle, along with hand-pulled local ales that highlight the region's brewing heritage, a fantastic selection of low and no alcohol drinks, imaginative cocktails that are both unique and refreshing, as well as what many consider the best wine list available in Leicester city centre, you can be assured that you will not be disappointed in your experience here.
Dining Room
Entry to our Dining Room is through a discreet, hidden book-faced door located within our lively and bustling city bar. Once seated, guests are welcomed into a warm and atmospheric space centred around exceptional steaks, Italian influence, and generous hospitality.
Our carefully curated seasonal menu celebrates locally reared and expertly butchered beef, alongside fresh pasta, vibrant small plates, and beautifully balanced dishes inspired by the flavours and conviviality of Italy.
Every plate is crafted with care by our passionate brigade of chefs and elegantly presented from our stunning open pass kitchen, allowing guests a glimpse into the energy, theatre, and culinary craftsmanship at the heart of the experience.
