Knight & Garter, lovingly referred to as “Leicester’s carefully considered pub”, is a stunningly designed and thoughtfully curated bar, Dining Room, and social venue situated on Green Dragon Square, just off Hotel Street.
Here at Knight & Garter, our mission is to overthrow memories of mundane experiences by delivering best-in-class hospitality in our own relaxed, spirited, and convivial way.
Bar
Our bar area is widely renowned for its stunning, jaw-dropping design, as well as a carefully considered selection of boutique drinks and perfectly crafted nibbles. On Friday & Saturday evenings, we proudly play host to incredible local musicians and talented DJs, who create the perfect soundtrack for an enjoyable weekend atmosphere. Meanwhile, Sunday lunchtimes are dedicated to the leisurely enjoyment of our complimentary newspapers and our epic Bloody Marys, which are sure to enhance your day.
With a variety of draught beers served from our copper beer kettle, along with hand-pulled local ales that highlight the region's brewing heritage, a fantastic selection of low and no alcohol drinks, imaginative cocktails that are both unique and refreshing, as well as what many consider the best wine list available in Leicester city centre, you can be assured that you will not be disappointed in your experience here.

Step through the hidden bookcase door from our bustling city bar and discover the Dining Room — a warm, atmospheric space serving modern gastropub food with a Mediterranean influence.
Our chefs cook with care and generosity, with dishes finished at the open pass where you can enjoy a glimpse of the kitchen at work.
